How to cancel Spotify

  • Channels: online (self-serve), in-app
  • Official cancellation page: https://support.spotify.com/us/article/cancel-premium/
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause in most regions (a few regions allow up to a 3-month pause). Cancelling Premium simply downgrades to the free tier - your playlists and saved music remain.
  • Account/data deletion: Closing your account is separate from cancelling. After closing, Spotify emails a 7-day reactivation link; once it lapses, your data is deleted. https://support.spotify.com/us/article/how-can-i-close-my-spotify-account/
